Sleepover!! <3

What’s up! Springbreak in Sweden, but not for me! I’m in school one more month before me and Elin are going to California! Wooop woooop I’m flipping pumped!  So I’ve been really busy lately, tight now I just got home from a baby shower for my host-cousin Tammy. She's going to have a little girl that they're going to name Nadia, which means hope in Russian I think.

I got to the baby shower straight from a sleepover at Lauren's house with her and Hannah! She took me to Rockville where the shower was at, I got to meet some host-family I haven''t seen in forever so it was fun!

We had a lot of fun yesterday, we left for Terre Haute right after school to go eat with Lauren's family at TGI Fridays' in the mall! When I went to my locker yesterday morning Lauren wrote this on my whiteboard:

Love her too <3

On our way to Terre Haute we went to Clinton so Hannah could pick up our Senior shirts that she's ordered for us. They're black and limegreen, really cool - I didn't get one though!
We went to the mall for a bit and shopped, well it was more window shopping for me because I just bought my prom dress last week so I'm pretty much broke! Lauren bought two shirts and some stuff at Victoria's secret. I can't wait untill their swimsoot collection comes out so I can buy myself a bikini for California!

Lauren is so sweet that ponnies wish for her for their birthday!!

I really like TGI Friday's, good thing that we have that place in Strockholm too! I had ribs, and they were deliscious!! We went to a gas station after that to buy some candy that we could sneak in to the movies later, because it costs a fortune to buy them at the theatre! I got reese's mini cups and M&M peanuts like a real american ( if you have a sister allergic to nuts, then you have to cease every oppurtunity!)

Us hahaha! We had some time to kill before the movie started so we sat in the car for a while and just took silly pics! I acidently embarresed us all by accidently waving to some random strangers that parked in front of us. They stared at us for a goood goood while....

Lauren's mom has a wunderbaum in her car!!! I'm in love.

We managed to sneak in our candy to the theatre, we went to see the new movie beautiful creatures! For some reason me and Hannah are vampires in this picture...
The movie was not at all as I thought it would be! First of all I got totally thrown of by everybody having a real heavy South Carolina accent, but it was a kinda cool movie, not totally clyshé but defenetly a corny chicflick!! It was really cute!

After the movies we went to my dearly beloved Starbucks, and I got to trie their Strawberry frappucino!
Wasn't my favorite thing from Starbucks but it was OK :)

I love Starbucks <33333333

After that we went back home to Lauren's house and watched some tv and played some games before we went to bed! And today we got woken up early by Lauren's brother Ethan at 7am because he thought that she had to work, but she quit her job last week lol! It was a lot of fun!

Well I gotta go and make supper! See y'all!!! (oh-oh, the Hoosier accent is kickin' in for real...!! )

Thanks for reading!
God bless y'all <3

Homecoming!!

Hey everytbody, I'm back! Sorry, I had to take a break with my blogging for a while!
So much has happened since I last bloged! I've celebrated my first christmas and new years in America, I also finally got to meet the other exchange students in my area! They're all really nice!

Yesterday was homecoming, and I was one of the four senior girls nominated for homecoming queen, which meant that I got to dress up just as if I'd go to prom! It was soooo much fun, allthough it probably was one of the most nervous moments in my life! I wore heels, which I've basicly never done to a formal thing before, and I was scared to death that I was going to trip and flash in front of everybody (had on a short dress too...) I usually am too tall for heels but I was set up to walk with the tallest guy in school, so I decided to take the chance!!

me and my friend Hannah, love this girl!

This is how Andrea, my host sister, fixed my hair! I loved it! I'm not used to have neither long or curley hair! Believe it or not but it was her first time curling hair, I think she did a really good job! I got my dress last minute this wednesday going to Lafayette dress hunting with my friends Taylor and Rachel. Rachel was one of the nominated senior girls for court as well!

Me and my escort, Levy!

Luckily, I didn't trip! Good thing because Levy said that he wasn't going to catch me if I fell - what a gentleman! ;)  I accedently stabbed him with my flowers so I guess we're even!

All us nominated girls afterwards!
Seniors in the backrow; Anna, Rachel, Kendall and me!
Freshmen: Ashley, Juniors: Ellie and Adessa, Sophomore: Courtney.

Kendall got queen, she looked absolutely gorgeuos! The guy that Anna walked with, Tucker, got king! I'm so happy for them!

Senior nominated girls! I love my classe! These girls are all fantastic! And I absolutely looooove their dresses!
Really happy that I got nominated, a lot of people came up to me and told me that they voted for me and that I looked beautiful! Thanks to all of you them, they're lovely!

Thanks to my handsome escort for not pushing me over like he threatened to do, lol!  It was a lot of fun! :))))

Since I didn't get queen, I had danceduty during half time at the varsity basketball game! I took off my heals and went out to the cheerblock for a bit before I went back to the lockerroom to change into our new dance uniforms!
I really love our routine that we performed yesterday! It's a mash-up with Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani!

We got totally crushed in the game with like 89-50 or something like that! But we're backing our team all the way!  And we had the awesome homecoming dance right after the game, me and the other seniors totally danced like there was no tomorrow! I won a gift card for doing the Gagnam Style the best - I don't even know how to do it lol!!! But that's always nice!

Today I woke up oobertired and sick, so I'm just gonna chill out and get better in time for my singing competition next weekend!
Such a fun weekend! No regrets whatsoever!

Thank you guys for reading!
God bless <3

Thanksgiving!

Hey there!
I've been very busy lately! Thanksgiving is coming up tomorrow so yesterday was my kast day of school this week!

Sarah, Andrea, Linda, me and Courtney before the bell rang last week in school! Pretty girls!

Last weekend me and Andrea went to see Wreck-it Ralph - the last movie at the Ritz with the old projector!
It was a really good movie and we had a good time! Cree was working when we got there and made us buy the biggest menu ever of concessions! I ´was soooo full after the mmovies!
The thing is that I was going with Hannah to a dinner at her church right after! So it was really stupid of me to even buy snacks to go with the movie!

Hannah, me and her cousin!
Managed to scarf down some really good food though! Got to meet Hannah's cousins and the rest of her family! They were all really nice! I also met my art teacher Mrs. Loudermilk there - appearently she goes to that church too!

Monday I with Hannah to her house right after school, we had picture day with dancw the same night so we fixed ourself for that! Then we went to school together for practice!

We've gotten new uniforms in dance! They are blue and red dresses - just like our school colours! They're really pretty but not the most comfortable - especieally not when you're like a mile longer than the average american! My dress is more like a shirt than a dress, the skirts are really short! But whatever as long as it looks good when we're performing!

This is us senior dancers in our new uniforms ;) Yay or ney?
I really hope that I looked good on the picture - I didn't like at all the way I looked in the uniform and that's the picture we're using for our senior banners! But oh well! :)))

Us seniors in the doghair-mobile (Hannah Smith's car) on our way to the studio where we took our pictures!

Shopping in Terre Haute tuesday with Hannah and her mom! She must be soooo tired of me haha!
She's like a shopping master - I spent like a $150 on clothes that defenetly are needed! She made me buy two pair of jeans from american eaagle (much cheaper than Swedish jeans and look so much better too!) and four shirt from my new favorite store - body central!

We went to Starbucks too! I'm in love!! Think I'm building up an addiction here, which is not good because my closest Starbucks is like over an hour away and I can't drive!!

So Thursday it was finally time for the breaking dawn part two premiere! the first movie at the Ritz with the new projector system too = awesome sound!! I've never seen so many people at the same place in Rockville ever! There was a huge line outside the Ritz! Luckily, Hannah Delp and Taylor that I was going with, were in the beginning of the line! Andrea and Anna had a basketball game and came later.
The showed the first part of Breaking Dawn too, which I haden't seen! So it was really awesome - my legs were actually shaking when I saw the movie, I don't know why because I'm not a huge fan of Twilight anymore! It's really worth seeing though! Can't believe it had premiere like two days earlier in Swedcen than in USA - that makes no sense att all!

I saw basicly everyone I know there at the Rtiz that  night haha lol! Small town <3

haha me and Sarah at the school bus, our rides are always full of crazy pictures it seems!

But I should really go and help my host family prepare a turkey or something! After all thanksgiving is tomorrow!!
Thanks for reading!
God bless ya! <3

Bonfire

Hi there!
Sorry for not updating, it's been a crazy week!

Me and Sarah at the school bus on our way home last week :)

I have a mouse in my room ://// It has kept me a wake for the past cupple of nights!
So I've got sick from all the lack of sleep and stayed home moday from school. Haha and of course that's the day we get a 95 questions worksheet in Earth Space and the week we had four tests coming up! But I survived school this week without barely even studying for everything!

Finfing this on the whiteboard in my locker made my day though! haha Taylor is learning Swedish!

Dance practice has started again and we're working on a new "pitch perfect´" inspired coreography. We've gotten new unifroms and we're ready for the new season! Andrea's started managing basketball so I barely see her these days!

So this week we had homemade pizza for the first time since I got here - YUM! I put Canadian bacon on mine! Delicious!

Yesterday Andrea had planned for a big bonfire at our house so I helped her with baking som Swedish chocolate balls haha! And then we tried for ever to light the fire but our wood was wet so we couldn't get it going at first! But we worekd it out after a while with some help from our friend Jonathan!

We didn't have a lot of people over, but it was a really nice night. And it was really warm too! This is supposed to be the warmest weekend untill spring! Nice and yet kind of depressing at the same time haha! At least we don't have a bunch of snow like New York! I heard there was like 14 inches in Connecticut!

So there was me, Andrea, Jonathan, Linda, Courtney, Garret, Sam, Natalie and Brandon at our fire yesterday. We had a lot of fun just hanging out there. There's been so much drama going on lately so it was so nice to just relaxe and talk to people.

Jonathan stayed a llittle longer than the rest and just hung out with me and Andrea as we let the fire burn out. We gave him a bunch of goodies for it, my chocolate balls were appriciated!

Today I was supposed to go shopping with my friend Hannah but her dad's car broke down so we're planning on doing it Tuesday instead. This is the thrid time our shopping plans has been cancelled but oh well, that means we're just going to have more fun when we actually do it! :)

Soon me and Andrea's going to go to Crawfordsville for supper and tomorrow we're going to see the new movie Wreck it Ralf at the Ritz in Rockville. It's their last show with the old projector system!
And Thursday almost everyone I know in our school is going to the Ritz to see the priemier of Breaking Dawn part 2! We're going to start with seeing the first part of breaking dawn, because they can't show part 2 untill after midnight on the actuall day it has it's premier. Which is good for me because I still haven't seen the first movie. It's a good thing that our government teacher Mr. Miece owns the Ritz theater so we can get easy acces to cheap tickets. And we're probably going to be the first people seeing the movie ever since it's the earliest time zone in USA by midnight! Waaaah Can't wait!

But now I'm starting to feel antsy from just sitting here and not doing anything productive (except for blogging of course) I'll try to update soon biut I can't promise anything!

Thanks for reading!
God bless <3

Happy Haloween!

Hey
So Haloween is pretty legit here in America, too bad I don't have a costume otherwise I'd defenetly dressed up! People came dressed up to school today and a bumch of my friends are going trick or treating tonight!

So what have I been doing this week?
Well, first of all I've been surviving the megastrong winds from the hurricane Sandy. Not that Indiana is that badly effected, we were supposed to get some snow going on but it never happened. I'm kind of glad, I fled from the snow in Sweden with the hope ogf better weather in America!

This weekend me, my host mom and Andrea went to a babyshower, Then I went to the movies in Crawfordsville wit Lauren, we saw pitch perfect - hilarious movie! See it!
Seriously see it... it was one of the funniest shows I've ever seen!

So guess what I did first thing monday....
....
...
...

We carved pumpking in art class! It totally made my day!

my pumpkin

Hannah pumpkin' it up!

Taylor's, Rachel's, Jacob's and my pumpkin
We sat them in the cafeteria as a decoration and tomorrow we get to take them home.

Yesterday I went to a banquet at our school, to be honored as a fall sport athlete. It was fun, we had dinner and all the athletes were recpognized.

So today I've just been chillin'
Got pretty americanized in English today - love it.
Me, Charlene, Cree and Taylor felt pretty badass sitting like this in the English classroom, having out our phones and everything. Living on the edge haha! Ms. Rush is such a fun teacher sometines! <3

Make sure to survive Haloween

Dirty Wotk at the Crossroads!

Hey!

Last week I was helping at a yardsale with our church in Rockville!
We didn't get very much sold so it was nice just to go and hang out with the youthgroup and Pastor Shawn (Andrea's cousin).

Church put a big end to my healthy week when we had pizza for lunch and plus all the sweets we all ate while we were waiting for customers! But oh well I'll do it some other time ... soon!
We didn't get a lot of things sold, it was a nice day though and I had a lot of fun with the youth group!

Andrea and my host mom picked me up just before it was time to close. They took me home so me and Andrea had time to get ready to go and see Taylor and Cree act in the covered bridge melodrama in Rockville.

The play was awesome! And I even got to take pictures with the cast! Taylor and Cree both were really good actors! Cree played a real redneck hooshier, and Taylor played a snobby teenage girl.
It was just like on the plays on broadway where the crows says Sssssssss when the bad guy comes in!
The threw money on the stage too, and Cree got a coin thrown in the forehead, Poor thing, but he didn't barely lose character at all! The show must go on I guess!

Me and Leoni/Taylor/My American! Love how they fixed her hair!
It was her first play - she did a really good job!

Mhookie/Cree! This guy should seriously make a career out of acting!

After that something really random happened. A guy from our school, Logan, all of a sudden just popped up and started tickling her!! I didn't even know that he'd come to the play! But he started chasing her around so she had to leave all her stuff and run from him. Guess what the guy did? He freaking stole her car keys and drove away with her car!!!!! I was like: okey so we're now stranded in Rockville thanks to Logan, he better not wreck the thing!
But he just drove around the block, Andrea's car is really nice so if I'd steal a car that would probably be my first choice too! The only thing was that when he parked it, he scraped against something because he wasn't used to drive a car that low. Andrea yelled at him pretty good after that, and then we went to Cody's house nearby with a bunch of people.

We didn't stay very long there, because after a while there came more and more people. But I got to eat some delicious birthday cake and meet some new people so it was fun as long as it lasted!

Remedy Drive Concert!

Bon jour tout le monde!
Hello, so I have loads to blog about since last Thursday and Friday we had fall break! The famous covered bridge  festival where in action and I kept busy all the time!

So Thursday my host mom and Andrea had to go to Lafayette to get Andrea's new retainer at the ortodonist, sov they took me with them. On our way there we stopped by one of the covered bridge festivals for food and some shopping at the different flee-markets!
After that we went on to Lafayette and had lunch at Fazolli's, Andrea's favorite restaurant!

We still had some time to kill so we went to the mall where we found this hilarious sign in the parking-lot!

Yep I totally think she's worthy that title!  :)
She took a picture with me and the sign too, and right then a truck driver did the "hey beautiful!"-whistle at me! Oh my goodness...!

I found myself a really nice pair of jeans but guess what - I was too tall for them!! Gosh darn it!
Then it was time to go the ortodonist so we went there and got Andrea her new lime-green retainer! It looks really cool!

At the eavning our church had an event at the bridge-fest called Rock the Bridge, which ment a concert with remedy drive! So me and Andrea went over there and totally rocked the concert together with our church buddies from Rockville and Terre Haute! Haven't seen the people from Terre Haute for ages so I really enjoyed hanging out with them again! They're nice and funny people!

We got to take pictures after with the band-members! This is the basist who's from Chicago, and Brittney from Terre Haute :)

The concert was awesome, and there weren't that many people there so we all could stand in the very front and dance! Remedy drive gave us quite a show allthough the crowd was really small - they're really good live. And by the way for everyone who doesn't know who they are - it's a christian band that does worship songs in rock n' roll style!

'

We helped out afterwards to take down the stage and to get the band ready to leave. Oh well, I wasn't very much help because I couldn't lift away all the heavy instruments to the van!

I was worn out after a whole day out and no dinner so when we got back I ade myself some food and then went straight to bed!

So my first concert in America - check! Hope there'll be a next one soon and that it will be just as awesome as this one!

Girlsnight in Terre Haute!

Hey! I've had a buch of stuff going on lately and it's just started to get warm again outside!
This Sunday, it actaully was so warm that I had an ice-cream!

Last week I went shopping with Lizzie, Kendall, Chelsie and Jessi! We had an awesome night out together in Terre Haute!
I waited for them to go with them after school, and then Lizzie picked me up from school so we could meet up with the other girls. It took quite a bit before we could go, because we had to get gas and plan for the night. Since we all had differet curfews, me and Liz had to drive a seperate car, because the other wanted to go to the late night movies.

We got to the mall just about an hour before it closed, so we didn't have a lot of time looking around in the stores. All for of them where shopping for gifts for their boyfriends, and I assisted them. I got myself a cheap pair of Uggs fir the winter too, which is really needed because it's going to get really cold soon!

After the mall, they took me to Texas Rhode House for some really good food! Liz seemed to enjoy her's too! :) She's a cutie!

Kendall was hungry too :) She asked me to say hi from her on my blog!
I ate some really good chicken and a bunch of other delicious american food! Then it was time to leave because Kendall, Jessi and Chelsie had to go and see their movie! They were going to see Pitch Perfect, too bad I couldn't join because I really want to see that film!

Lizzie brought me back to her house, where we picked up her mom so they could take me home together. The weather was awfull so I had a hard time guiding the way to my house, but we got there! I had so much fun with the girls, hopefully we'll do it again soon!

All five of us at Texas Rhode House!

Senior Pictures - Fall Session

Heeeeeey!
So last week I had some of my Senior pictures taken!

I did everything to make them perfect - redyed my hair and had my hairdresser styling it, brought an American flag and I even threw on my new skinny jeans so my outfit would look realy american!

Too bad the weather didn't agree with us that day, it was really cloudy when I went in to Crafordsville to get my hair done. And Andrea's cousin, Susan, who was taking our pictures, couldn't take them because of the weather. But we decided to take the pictures ourselves instead :)

Some of the pictures of me!
Here's some of Andrea's pictures:

Senior Night

Hey... Shame shame on me for not updating in like forever!
But my schedule has been busy busy busy lately!
Last friday was our last football game, I can't believe that tme is going so fast! They've all ready started to put up Christmas decorations in the stores!

Here's some pics from the game :)

Unfortunatley we lost our game, but we've made a really good season to be us! Three won games, one of them was our homecoming! We haven't won our homecoming in I don'ät know how many years so I'm a really proud Warrior fan!
This game we had a huge cheerblock, with cowbells, facepaint and even an chief mascot as you see in the picture above! We had so much fun, and we yelled cheers untill we lost our voices! I'm so going to miss fotball games on friday nights :/

This night was also Senior Night, which meant honoring of all the Seniors participating in fall sport (including dance and therefore me) So we were supposed to walk out on the football field in our uniform together with our parents and then be presented for infor the whole school one by one. Unfortunately my host parents arrived just a minute too late to walk with me, so I had Andrea escorting me instead. The principal even offered to walk me, but it was easier just having Andrea doing it instead.

Worl's best host sister evaaaaah!

Andrea took a picture of me and Ms Seitz, the teacher that talked my host family into having an exchange student! She's the funniest and best teacher ever! She was really speeded for the game, and I look like a giant compared to her hihi...

We also had a performance with the Dance crew during half-time. We'd gotten new uniform pants and everything so we were really pepped! We performed to Good Girl  by Carrie Underwood, really country and really American!

Andrea took some in-action pictures of us dancing, I'm the really charming one to the left ;)

Are awesome Senior dance team, love these girls!
From the left: Linda, Chelsie, Hanna Smith me  Morgan, Hannah Delp and Lizzie

Now we're just waiting for basketball season to begin, and we're getting a new uniform too! A dress this time! Oh lalaa!!

I had a blast the rest of the night cheering for our Warriors!

Getting Americanized!

Hey my dear blog!
Yesterday I went shopping with Lauren in Crawfordsville! We've planned for it for weeks and we were supposed to bring Lizzie and Kendall too but it never worked out with our crazy schedules! And I forgot that my dancee practice was moved to yesterday, that's the reason that we went to Crawfordsville and not to the mall in Terre Haute (Crafordsville is like 20 minutes away while Terre Haute is an hour drive)

There's no mall in Crawfordsville because it's a little bitty town, but it has a cupple of stores that we went to. One of them was Goodie's where I tried on a bunch of stuff. Lauren was determined to Americanize me so she picked out American outfits for me.
She made me try on a pair of skinny jeans, and they were actually not that horrible on me! (I really don't like jeans because they're so uncomfy and the don't look good on me!)

I ended up bying the skinny jeans, a crop top that was amazingly cheap and a really warm comfy brand-sweater on sale. It was a productive tour!

After our mini-shoppingtour Lauren took me to a place that Americans call "B-dubs" (BWW - Bufallo Wild Wings) Which is a very cool looking bar where they serve chicken wings. A lot of my friends have been talking about taking me there so it was fun to finally get to go! I really liked the place too, some of their chicken wings were really spicy though!

After that a quick look at Maurice's, an other store, and then we headed back for my dance practice. We went to her house real quick and showed her mom what we got, Lauren got a cute sweater.
She brought me back to school and droped me off at dance where everyone wanted to see my new clothes, they liked my jeans haha! We only had one hour practice, which was really nice because I had an algebra test today to study for!

Today I wore my new clothes to school and almost everyone I know in school complimented me and my jeans. They were all chocked that I wore jeans haha, can't believe they thought it was such a bíg deal! So I guess I'll wear 'em again soon, not too soon though because the slid down a lot since I haven't got a belt yet- That is on my priority list for next shopping tour!

Friday is our last home football game and I'll be dancing. It's senior night too, and this weekend I'll hopefully get my senior pictures taken together with Andrea! Her cousin Susan that I went shopping with a week ago is taking them for us! Need to pick out some outfits and get my hair done before that!

Wanrt it to stay this pretty untill the weekend for my pictures! (this is our driveway by the way, I'm standing by the mailbox)

Homecoming week!

Hey everyone in Sweden, USA, Guatemala or wherever you may be!
This week was our homecoming and it was definetly awesome!

Homecoming week means dress-up days, tournaments among the grades, and of course the big hommecoming game and dance!
Too bad I didn't have access to my Swedish wardrobe this week, because I couldn't go all-in for the different dress-up themes!

Monday was stomp out bullying day and we were supposed to wear blue. All my blue clothes was in the laundry except for my blue onepiece, which I threw on until Andrea told me it was senior picture day. And it's not happening that I'm wearing my onepiece for our senior class picture my echange year - big no!
I didn't dress up for tuesday either because it was neon-day and I don't have any neon clothes here! I didn't realize that the whole dress-up thing was a part of the tournament against the underclassmen grades, then I would have tried harder!

Wednesday, on the other hand I went all in. It was missmatch day - a theme even possible for me and my limited wardrobe! Here's how I looked!

First two different lipsticks and then totally unmathcing patterns on my clothes! Hahah
Wednesday we had our big Warrior Spirit night, which meant powderpuff tournament for girls and volleyball tournament for boys. It was so much fun!

Before and after me and Kayla painted our faces haha!

We were out for blood! Everyone wanted to take the Juniors down since they stole a bell from us a cupple of weeks ago!

Our boys defending our senior pride in volleyball, too bad we lost against the freshmen with one point...

Girl Senior cheerblock! Seniors Seniors what you say? - We're backing our team all the way!

The freshmen are amazingly athletic - they won the whole spirit night. They beat us with one point in volleyball and one touchdown at overtime powderpuff (girl version of american football) But the Juniors came last, which satisfied most of the Seniors. We came 2nd.

Thursday was Eighties-day and I tried to dress up the best I could with a headband and soe high-waisted hotpants with leggins and belt, plus a sweatband on my writst! Got yelled at in school though for not dressing "school-appropriate", because shorts with tights under is wayyy too unmodest for Turkey Run.

And finally Friday came with everything that ment! All students wore their class shirts and last period we had a pep session with the band playing and cheerleaders performing! It was awesome!
I stayed in school before the football game and had supper with my friends Rachel and Nolan.
It rained and was cold like crazy so the game wasn't very enjoyable - nobody was in our cheerblock because everybody was spread out everywhere. I tried to watch the game with Chelsie and Jessi and bought hot chocolate as often I could to warm my freezing fingers.
But amazingly enough we won our game!! Nobody thought it was even possible and we haven't won our homecoming for I don't know how many years! We scored 26 to 12 against a pretty good school called Covington and that makes our third won game this season! We're getting better!
After that me and Chelsie ran into the school to warm up (for some reason we were not alllowed inside during the game so the teachers locked everyone of us out)

Our homecoming king and queen was Cree and Jessica. Jessi really deserved to win, her dress was stunning!

Our selected nominates for homecoming king and queen! The four pairs in the middle are the Senior cupples, Cree and Jessi didn't even come together. cree went with Taylor and Jessica's date was her boyfriend Riley.

Warior Up hahahahahaa!!!!

Hey! People have been complaining about me not updating enough, I'm really trying but it's hard to keep it up! Sorry I'll try to get better!

So this week I've been ordering my cap and gown and some other things for graduation! Oh my gosh this is so exciting - my year is just flying away! I've also ordered a senior necless and a powderpuff-shirt! Powderpuff is like a girl version of American football - I'm just praying that I won't get mangled when I play it!

I've also been celebrating two of my friend's birthdays by baking these:

These are the American version of Swedish "chokladbollar" I guess! Chocolate rolls! Brought them to school for Lizzie's and Lauren's birithday so people in school could try them! Lauren decided to return the favor by making cupcakes and bring them to school the next day! Haha our table is getting spoiled! The next day she also brought pizza for her birthday that she let everyone have! I might have to book two seats for my flight back to Sweden next year haha!

The house feels really empty right now because Andrea and my host mom Lisa went to Oklahoma Wednesday, and they won't be back untill tomorrow/tonight! They went down there to see Andrea's cousin Jeremy's graduation for the military, and then they went on to Fort Worth in Texas to see Andrea's boyfriend. I hope they've had a good time!

Me and my host dad Brad has done everything to keep ourselves busy while Andrea and Lisa were gone! We've been to Lisa's grandmother's funeral (she passed away last weekend, I've only met her once though), and we've been visiting a lot with Brad's sister Conny and her husband Greg and daughter Susan. Yesterday me and Susan went to Terre Haute shopping, she's a bit older than me but we really get along!

Turning leaves - this is from a festival in a town called Thorntown that me and Brad went to yesterday before Susan, Greg and Conny came over so me and Susan could go shopping!

The most exiting part of this week thought has been the football game Friday! We had a performance half-time with dance - and believe it or not but our team actually made the first touchdown! Our guys are getting better!

Me, Morgan and Courtney - ready to dance! Courtney is not in dance though but she was cheering in our cheerblock!

I stayed in school for the game since I didn't have a ride anywhere now when Andrea is gone! I found some people to hang out with before the tailgating, which is when everybody pulls up with their trucks before the gae at the school parking lot and have a picknick. We tailgated with dance and it was a lot of fun!

I lost my danceuniform shorts though - which led to panick and changing of the uniform for the performance! I looked for them everywhere but couldn't find them. It turned out they'd fallen out of my bag... Oopsiee...

The Tribe - Our very own cheerblock! Warrior up!
It was so much fun cheering with the cheerblock - lost my voice big time!

We did our performance to the band playing Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne. Cree, the leader of the cheerblock even did the creepy laugh after screaming Warrior up or something like that instead of burn it black!

It was a nice night!

Me and some of our Senior Dance girls! Go big red!
We lost the game though... But still proud over our touchdown in the beginning!

Thanks for reading!

Got in trouble...

Hey there!
This week I've got my first detention, got attacked by my cats, and missed out on the only football game where we actually had a big chance of winning!

Ok so this Tuesday I was sent to the office by Ms, Seitz and I got lunch detention! Before my parents freaks out about this I just want to say that the only thing I did was forgetting my planner at home haha ... We have to take our planner to every class because we need it if we have to leave the classroom. And this perticular tuesday I forgot it in our kiktchen because I had it for ordering my Senior cap and gown for graduation the day before. Of course that was the only day I really neeeded it for completing a lab in my Earth Space class (our group apparently did the wrong lab and had to do it all over again) So yeah I got in trouble, I'm a baaaaaaaad kid haha! The most ironic thing was that we apparently were done with the lab, so we didn't have anything to do there anyway...
I'll never forget that stupid thing again...

The lunch detention wans't that bad anyway, I jujst couldn't sit with mmy friends and eat. I had to sit by the principal and eat my lucnh alone for 25 minutes. Well couldn't go to high school for a year without that experience right? ;)

Today's adorableness factor:

I went to my hostbrother Bradley's the other day, and his kittens has gotten sooooo big! This is one of the youngest, when I saw it last it was less than a day old and not bigger than my thumb! It's still really tiny and it litteraly doesn't weigh anything!  I just wanted to take it home with me - but I resisted! We allready have to kittens at our place that now seem to be really big and heavy!

My kittens doesn't like me though... When I talked to my program manager the other day, they jumped on my back and hung lack a sac by clawing my shirt! Then they did the same thing when I was talking to my IEC a cupple of days later!

Yesterday I was going to our football game against a school called Riverton Park. They're the only team we actually beat last year, breaking our 4 years in a row losing streak lol!
But it was storming really bad during the afternoon - it was hailing, showering rain and thunder, everything you can imaginge! Suddenly it stopped though so I decided to go anyways, Andrea drove me to school where a girl named Hannah picked me up.

Me and Hannah got caught in the storm again on our way to the game though. They game was interrupted because of thunder so we just sat in the Riverton Park school parking lot waiting. After a while we diceded it was no idea waiting so we went to have Subway in Rockville. Later on we heard that the game was called off and that they were playing it today morning instead. Too bad, we really wanted to see that game and now neither Hannah or I could :( I hope they win at least!

Subway <3

Today has been a lazy day so far with a large sleepin. I've been skyping some with my family and relatives in Sweden. They're having a party to celebrate my aunt's birthday so I got to talk to them all, I miss them!

I'll try to update more soon!
Thanks for reading!

Purdue!

Hey, I'm so sorry for the long time with no updates!
I've been doing a lot, and it's allmost two months since I moved to the States!

I've been spending laborday two weeks ago, shopping with my host sister and her friend Linda in the city Lafayette. I didn't buy much though, just a perfume from Victoria's secret (I love it!!!!) and underwear from H&M.
My new amazing perfume!!!!

Yesterday was an awesome day, I was spending the whole day performing at an event called Purdue band day. Purdue is the most popular college in Indiana and it's situated in Lafayette. So we and the band were going there to cheer for Purdue football team at their first homegame of the year, It was really cool, but yet exhausting. I had to go up 5am cause we had to be at school 5:45 for breakfast before leaving with the busses.

Turkey Run looks kinda creepy at 6 o clock in the morning ...

Me, Anika and Rachel were tired on the bus. The girl beside me, Macy, fell asleep.

When we got to Purdue University we got to warm up with the Purdue orchestra. Then we had to change to our uniforms before having our lunch.
The Purdue all American marching band

Later on we went to take our places in the football stadium and wait for the game to begin. It got really warm, and even my pale arms got a little sun tanned.

At the football game - Purdue Boilers won big with ike 44-16 or something like that. Good feeling to actually get to cheer for the winning team for once!

Boiler up!

Me and Tiffany cheerin'

We did our performance at half time, and apparently my face made it on the big screen! Hahah and I screwed up so badly - I did every move in the wrong rythm. Well at least I smiled!

The Seniors in the dance team

It was a really good day - It was nice to get home and sleep when it was over though!
I talked to my mom on the busride home and everybody stared at me while I was speaking Swedish!

Today I've just been to church and chilling out at home - getting ready for another school week. This weekend wasn't even a weekend, didn't get any sleep at all :(
I've been talking to some swedish friends today and they're just as tired as me - welcome back partys at all the schools and all my christian friends have been on a christian cruice with a lot of cool concerts like hansam and pkanetshakers. They all haven't been sleeping for 40 some hours so I guess I should be happy for the 5 hours I got last night!!

I'll try to update more soon!
Monday here I come - please don't eat me alive ^^

Goodnight!
God bless <3

Dance Clinic

What's up?
This is a zoombie Louise writing.
Imagine 57 little energic girls 4-10 years old in a gym for 5 hours. That was my friday night!

Of course dance clinic was a lot of fun, and it was awesome to perform at our very first homegame!
The girls were really excited too! It was exhausting though, I was allready tired to death when I woke up this morning! Good thing that Dallas was nice and gave me some american candy in Earth space so I could survive the day! Had a lot of my first tests too, but it wasn't hard! :) I think I've got this!

We got to go earlier from our last class today because we had a pep session for the home football game!! It was awesome!

At the pep session, the cheerleading team performed and we all just raised our warrior spirit!

After that me and the rest of the danceteam had to rush to the gymand take care of the 57 little girls at the dance clinic. They had so much energy that I got tired just from watching them! So we did our thing, thaught them the routines and then we had to teach them the school song. I can tell ya that gym got loud from all those girls screaming at the same time!

Yepp that's our school song!

After eating some pizza dinner and getting a lot of hugs from the little ones, it was time to go out on the field! Most of the girls were really excited but a lot of them was tired and wanted to go home so they started crying. We did our best to cheer them up again but some of them just broke down even more. I sat and hold this little girl called Maddie, and she was devastated. Finally she got to see her familly for a bit so it all worked out!

Rest of the girls were mega cheerful (even though we didn't make a single point for the whole game..) So we had to keep them amused and cheerful for the first half part of the game. It vwas ana exhausting job and the girls just wouldn't stop screaming. But we made it somehow without collapsing haha! And it was a lot of fun cheering, especially when our crowd cheered too for once! My science teacher, Ms Seitz, went totally crazy and jumped around with our silver pompoms and screamed so much that she barely had a voice left afterwards! I'm going to live with that woman for a week, I think that will be awesome because she is realy nice and funny I'm staying there when Andrea and her familly is going to Texas to see Andrea's boyfriend and to Oklahoma to see her cousin Jeremy take his millitary graduation.

My dance clothes in our school colors - red, white and columbia blue!

So our little girls rocked the field when we went out there to do the routine, and then when all of them finally were picked up by their parents and we were done cleaning the gym, I could finally go home.

So today I'm not going to do anything. at. all.
GO WARRIORS!

Thank you for reading!
God bless <3

Pepping for the first homegame!

Ciao bellas and bonitas!
Oh who am I fooling I'm here to speak English!

My year is going better and better, I'm getting used to school, I cheer for our football team at the games allthough we never win, and I'm making new friends every day! :)
So tomorrow is our first homegame! Waaaaaah so exciting - GO WARRiORS! Warriors is what our team is called! But the our boys won't be alone out there because guess what? The danceteam is gonna perform, so I'll have my first performance tomorrow! Yeaaah!

We're having a dance clinic for little girls, form four years and older. So we'll teach them two routines that we're going to do tomorrow out on the field! It's going to be mega awesome! I've gotten a danceshirt and shorts in red in columbia blue, which are our school colors along with white. So that's what I'm wearing tomorrow!

So this is what our hallway looked like when I got to school today.
Today was senior class-president election and the entire senior-hallway was bombarded with these "wote-for-Lauren" posts! The creepy thing is that Lauren told me that she didn't put them up, so some random guy must have stayed late from school last night just to put up notes about her! That's creepy...

Haha so Cree got this prank idea about putting all the vote-for-Lauren posters on Lauren's locker haha! He really is a crazy kid, but he's a really good guy! Haha but he might have to cut down on his coffee because he's hyper like 24/7! x)

I wore my extensions to school the other day, I threw on my new dress to that too!
Here in America wearing extensions is not a wierd thing, have I mentioned that I love the USA?
Oh and yeah, every morning at school we have to swear some kind of oath to the American flag, that you have to know by heart. At first it kind off freaked me out, but now I just try to learn it and mumble through the parts that I don't know yet!

I've spent a lot of time this week talking to my Swedish friends, both in Sweden and other exchange students here in America! It means so much for me just to hear their voices and know that they miss and support me! Talking to my friends Sara and Elin who's also living here in the States makes me get ridd of the homesickness I might have every once in a while! Today I spent like two hours or so talking to Amilia in the killing hot sun, I nearly fainted haha! But it was worth every sunburn!

So I've known my hostsister Andrea for half-a-year now if emailing counts, that's kind of scary how fast the time has went by since februari. It felt like yesterday that EF called me when I was on a skii camp in Kittelfjäll, telling me that ythey got a hostfamily for me!

Well I guess I better go to bed now!
Good night!

Thanks for reading!
God bless you <3

My first American Sleepover!

Hi, sorry for not updatinf during the weekend! I've been busy and I didn't get much sleep either... First of all, me and Andrea have been over at Linda's house to celebrate her belated birthday! We had a really good day together, first of all Andrea styled our hair - that girl is amazing she should be a hairdresser!
I got to meet her grandparents and her great grandma Louise (hihi I like that name),

Later on we were going to an Italian restaurant, and we tried to get the hang of the guy
Linda's going out with. It ended up with me and Andrea going with her on her first date with the guy! We picked him up and went to the restaurant, Palucci's

Had a great night, Dakota was a really funny guy and they seemed to get along well too :) Linda enjoyed her birthday dinner a lot!

Birthday girl and her date :)

After driving Dakota home, we went over to Linda's and spent the night there! My first American sleepover - we had a real typical girlsnight going on! It was really an amazing night, we hung out just talking and watching pretty little liars and eating pop corn! I've never seen pll beofore but I've wanted to for a long time now, so it was fun to finally do it! alltough we kinda jumped in at the middle of the season so I didn't get the hang of it!

After one night of not much sleep at all at Linda's couches we woke up early for church. The plans was that me and Andrea would come with Linda's family to her church, but we were to tired to go... We ended up going to church anyway though, but to another one in a town called Kingman. So we said goodbye to Linda. I didn't pay much attention to the service though because I was so freaking tired - allthogh I'm kind of used to goig to church after a sleepless night!

When we got home from church I was suprised by a huge family dinner at our house that I'd completly forgot all about! It was really nice thpugh - especially all the good food since the only thing I'd eaten for the whole day was a cinnabpn with icing for breakfast (I know it's so wierd - the Americans has taken the cinnamonbun andd put icing on it and they eat it for breakfast!!!). I got to meet a lot of nice relatives to my host family and got tp celebrate my host grandma's birthday!

Me and Andrea had to leave the party though because we were going to the youth group at the Terre Haute church as usual. I love Terre Haute so much - I don't know why it's just something woth that city. Maybe it's because I feel more at home in the city than in the country since I grew up in Stockholm. (and it's nice to have service and internet on the cellphone!!)

Church was nice, felt like I really got to know the people in that youth group yesterday when we played a game that wasn't my strongest side (guessing characters in the bible)
After youth group me and Andrea went over to Cameron's for a bit and hung out with him and his grandma. Cameron's one of Andrea's best friends, and he's a really greaat kid I like him.

When we were on ou way home from Terre Haute we saw this car with a Texas licence plate. It made Andrea very excited abbout her trip to Texas in four week when she'll finally get to see her boyfriend again who lives there! I on the other hand will come with them, I'll stay at our science teacher's house while they're gone, x) She's crazy - but a good crazy I like her haha! :)

¨Well... I've got school tomorrow so thanks for reading!
Good night!
Godd bless <3

1 month in The States!

Hey there!
Today it's been exactly one month since I got here, to Indiana. Nine more months left to go! I can't believe it has all ready gone so much time! I'm getting more and more used to speaking English and the American culture everyday! One thing I'll never adopt from here though is all the sparkling clothes - for me, glitter is the biggest no-no ever when it comes to clothes!

I'm so happy it's friday, school just sucks the life out of me! I've been at the school's dancepractises and I'm officially in the dance team!c It's like being a cheerleader, but without doing all the kicks and flips! It's so much fun being a dancer - something I highly recomend for all future exchange students! We have pompoms and everything - and soon we're getting our new uniforms! Yaaay! So nexr week is our first homegame! Our danceteam has a danceclinic earlier that day for little kids (K through 5th grade) and then we'll perform with them at the game! I'm so excited - I'll have to learn the School-song-routine though!

So the schoolday today has been pretty similar to the other weekdays, I guess.Except that me and Andrea went to pick up my friend Sarah this morning and take her to school!

After school we were taking Linda for a birthday dinner in Rockville! I totally piged out when we got to the Mario bros restaurant!! It was so good and the quesediasI ordered was one of the best I've ever had!

Then we got back to school to watch Linda's cheerleader practise. We were all going to the same aw
ay

football game so we just waited for the rest of the cheerleader!
Cool sunset tonight!

It was nice hanging out there and meet some new biuddies! Some random guy even asked for my nuimber! Feeel like a boss!

The boys weren¨nt good, as expected But we actuallt made tito 6 ponts against Fountain Center's 70 something... Hm I don't like to lose!

Andrea and I had to leave the game Early for going to Wallmart and get a birthday present forLinda whiledi we're sleeping over at tomorrow! It went good and then we finally got back home! And now I'm so tired that I can't even see what Im writing!

Gotta go to bed!
Thanks for reading>>!Q

Cheer practise today!

First week of high school!

Hey! I'm so sorry that I haven't been updating for a while!
But my first school week has been so busy!
School is so different from what I thought it would be, but it's really to experience something so different from the Swedish school!

It's nice to be a senior - we get days off from school to visit colleges (which I obviously don't have to do!). It's very strict, but the teachers are nice and jokes a lot!

Instead of writing a novel about my first week, I'll just show you the pictures I've taken! :)

First day of school! Two peppeedd seniors in the Hallway!

My first American football game! Bring it on (let's pretend we did not lose with 70-0...)

Outfit the first day!

Having dinner at Up the Creek with Linda, Lyndsey, Taylor and Andrea!

Me, Rachel, Taylor and Andrea before football game, pepped girls!

Volleball game tonight! Ohyeah!

Oh my goodness Courtney, what did you do to Jake's car???? ;)

Today was Linda's birthday too - she's finally an adult! We had a feast to celebrate this and it was realy yummie!! I hope she enjoyed it and that she had a good day! :)))

Thanks for reading!
God bless!<3
